Funny. Sad, but funny.

Look, that Rockets team as is can win a series. Too bad they can't ever stay healthy long enough to do it.

I agree that Houston has plenty enough talent to get out of the first round, including McGrady's seeming lack of "ClutchCity-ness". However, when your team's foundation is a lanky ass guard that has a terrible back and a huge Chinese guy that can barely bear his own weight without hurting his legs or feet, then the injury talk can hardly be considered an extenuating circumstance.

It's become a reality that one or both of their cornerstones are going to miss significant time at some point during the season, and even if they're both back around for the playoffs, they've then positioned themselves such that they have a first round matchup with tough teams like the Jazz (talking about last season).

The exception to the rule is now those guys playing a whole season, which Houston will be very fortunate to have happen.

They're going to have to switch their team around. As is, it's just not good enough.

They need another big that can spell Yao -- Mutombo is 478 years old. Scola and Rafer "The Punk Beeyatch" Alston are complementary pieces. Battier is all heart and defense. And T-Mac is T-Mac.

If I were them, I'd look to move up in the Draft for OJ Mayo or some other super-scorer or try to pry someone who can score in FA.
