Dish vs. Cox

Now that the Hornets are available on both, anybody got any preference?

Would I be able to get local programming on Dish?

Yes - you can get local channels in HD too. You can also get NFL Network. I've been way pleased with Dish. No problems with it going out during bad weather or whatever.

Do you have to pay extra for Cox, or is that included?

CST is included in whatever package we got. When they made the move to add the channel, it was just there.

No Newswatch on Dish. I'd still pick Dish though.

I had Cox before the storm and Dish afterwards. Let me tell you, outside of when there's a major lightning storm, I prefer Dish every time.

Plus, if you like other sports (soccer, rugby, cricket) or even foreign channel wishes (from Spanish TV to Arabic, French, Japanese, Chinese, etc) they got it.

For the same price as the Cox digital package, you might as well get the Dish.

If you include DVR on Cox, Dish is the clear choice. It's cheaper even with the mid-tier programming.
